Our website aims to provide you with daily updates on namedays based on the Greek Orthodox calendar, as well as significant global, international, or national events.

Our Story

It all started as an effort to solve a technical issue. The platform's creator, Vasileios Chr. Giannakidis, encountered multiple problems using third-party nameday widgets on his websites. To solve this, he decided to build his own. What started as a simple widget ended up creating the most advanced Nameday and Event search engine in the world!

Our nameday engine is meticulously built upon the authentic, official Greek Orthodox calendar of the Church of Greece. One of the main issues that inspired the creation of this platform was that most commercial widgets and calendars ignore a multitude of names and deviate from authentic tradition. Our goal is to accurately inform users, highlighting even the lesser-known namedays that are absent from other sources.
